Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
picnear ("we", "us") connects travelers with local photographers. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions? batuhanemreandac@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account: your name, email/phone, and profile details you provide.
- Location: approximate location to show nearby people and spots. Your exact location is never shared with other users — the map displays an obfuscated area only.
- Content: photos and captions you choose to post, and messages you send inside a booking.
- Usage: basic app activity to keep the service working and safe.
How we use it
- To match travelers and photographers and enable bookings.
- To show relevant nearby people, spots, and content.
- To keep the community safe (moderation, blocking, reports).
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use trusted infrastructure providers (e.g. our hosting and database provider) to run the service. Payment of the matching fee is processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details.
Your choices & rights
- Make your profile private so only approved followers see your photos.
- Control who sees each post (public or friends).
- Delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your data.
- Contact us to access or delete your data.
Photos & safety
Delivered session photos are stored privately and shared via short-lived links. Screenshots are blocked on protected photo screens where the platform allows.
Children
picnear is not intended for anyone under 17.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
